Human-Depressed!America x Reader

_{You were sat down on the sofa at Alfred's house, playing video games, as per usual. Although, there was something that was different.}

_{Alfred. He had been acting different for a while now and it had begun to bother you. You decided not to mention anything because you didn't want to make him upset, you adored him.}

_{Suddenly, Alfred's voice sounded breaking you out of your thoughts. "[y/n], what do you...think of me?"}

_{A blush painted itself across your face, as you thought of what you could say, without giving away your crush.}

_{"E-erm, well I think...you're amazing, Alfred. You're so strong and-".}

_{"But...what if I don't want to be strong anymore?.."}

_{"Alfred, w-what..?"}

_{He turned to you, tears streaming down his face, his lips wobbling.}

<sub>"But..I-I have to be strong, don't I? Because I'm the hero..."

You reached over to him, wrapping your arms around his neck, bringing him closer to you as he began choking out sobs. "Al, listen to me, its okay to show how you feel, its okay to feel upset sometimes and most importantly, its okay to admit to yourself that you're only human".

Alfred pulled away from you, averting his eyes, the look of disgust blatent on his face. "H-Hero's aren't weak though. If I sh-how how I feel, it'll make me weak and I won't-".

"Every hero has feelings Alfie," You retorted, placing your hand gently on his chest, your face slightly ablaze. "and everyone has a heart. Which means hero's feel sad too sometimes and angry, they feel every other emotion we do, some people deal with these things better alone but its alright to lean on someone if you need it".

Suddenly, a soft hand was placed atop yours and squeezed gently, as tears began to fall faster down his face. Nothing was said after this. Silence eclisped the space in which you sat together but that was okay because sometimes, words aren't needed.</sub>
